Inspired by the desert landscapes of Mexico as well as by the arid and semiarid regions in Brazil, the garden counts on some 120 species adapted to hot environments with restricted water access, as is the case for groups of Cactaceae, Crassulaceae, and Euphorbiaceae.
Placed at the Viveiro Educador, the garden is signed by landscape designer Pedro Nehring and makes us think about the use of water in landscape designing, as well as of the thorns, pellicles, fleshy leaves, and other strategies the plants use to survive to adverse conditions.
