Conceived for the 16th Biennale of Sydney (2008), this video installation is presented for the first time in Brazil and occupies one of the largest exhibition spaces of Instituto Inhotim. From a Russian expression that denies one’s responsibility on something that happened (literally translated as the title of this piece), it is part of a series of works developed by the artist while he was producing his version of the opera The Nose (1928), by the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975).

The eight large-scale, looped screenings combine archive images, movie excerpts, animation movies, as well as acting scenes of Kentridge himself.
