During August, Inhotim’s Educational team invites you to explore the history of the museum through vestiges in its space. The mediated visit Passage of Time takes place every Saturday and Sunday in August, always at 2 pm.

The visit aims to share records of different historical periods through the transformations that occurred during the “passage of time in Inhotim,” also considering the Institute’s artistic and botanical collection. Each visit will have a unique route and approach, based on the profile of the group and the proposal of each educator.

About the Visit

A village, a farm, a garden, an art collection… The classifications of Contemporary Art Museum and Botanical Garden were not planned in Inhotim’s initial project in the 1980s. 

In the Passage of Time themed visit, participants will learn more about Inhotim’s historical relationship with the old village inside of which it is located and the 15-year process of building the Institute, through its artistic and botanical collection, traces of different layers of time that make up the transformation of the landscape of this space.
