The Moving Workshop investigates the spaces in Inhotim as places of experience that involve different artistic languages. Each week, our workshop moves to a different location, investigating how each space helps us discover ways to create and experience art and nature.

• Impossible Folds With Daniela Brandão ↓

  Using Amilcar de Castro’s untitled sculpture as a reference, the public will reflect on how different materials respond to gesture, in a workshop that uses acetate sheets to make folds, creating different geometric compositions.

• Chromatics of the Senses With Fernanda Morais ↓

  The scents of flowers, fruits and vegetables stimulate the senses and offer health benefits. Participants will create their own personal diffusers, incorporating the therapeutic properties of plants and their oils.

• Embroidered Affections With Jane Brazil (Brumadinho, MG) ↓

  More than a manual technique, embroidery is also an affective practice. Participants will come into contact with freehand embroidery technique, and reflect on its symbolic value and its role in building memories and emotional bonds.

• Floating Images With Rafael Sousa ↓

  Holograms are images with the illusion of three-dimensionality created from the interference of light. The public will project holograms using accessible materials such as acetate sheets, mobile phone apps and video recordings.
