On October 21 and 22, Inhotim will show two audiovisual works that were part of the exhibitions “O mundo é o teatro do homem” [The world is the theater of man] and “Quilombo: vida, problemas e aspirações do negro” [Quilombo: life, problems and aspirations of the black], both from the program Abdias Nascimento and the Black Art Museum.

“Insurgências Quilombolas” [Quilombola Insurgencies], a work by Nacional Trovoa, presents the perspective of the collective formed by racialized artists, curators and art educators.

“Olho da Rua” [Eye of the Street], by Jonathas de Andrade, is based on the precepts of the Theater of the Oppressed, a technique developed by Augusto Boal, to access protagonists in their personal universe. The exhibition will be accompanied by a live musical score, performed by the musicians Homero Basílio, Emerson Rodrigues and Antônio do Rego Barreto Filho.

The exhibitions will be held at Espaço Igrejinha, and access is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists and artistic curators from Inhotim will be present for a conversation before and after the sessions. Participants in the Amigos do Inhotim and Nosso Inhotim programs have guaranteed seats at the events.
