December at Inhotim
It’s time to celebrate! This year, art, nature and education have reached even more people at Inhotim, with new exhibitions, educational projects, music and many novelties in the program. Come visit us for a firsthand, intimate experience of all that Inhotim has to offer!
During December, our hours of operation are still from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday; and from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays. Inhotim will be closed on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1.
Admission is free on December 4, 11, 18 (Wednesdays), and December 29 (last Sunday of the month). Find out more in our Free Inhotim guide and get your ticket in advance.
Wondering where to start your visit? We suggest exploring the temporary exhibitions currently on display. Three of them opened in October: Homo sapiens sapiens by Pipilotti Rist, Só depois da chuva (2024) by Rebeca Carapiá, and Tangolomango by Rivane Neuenschwander. Also, check out Giro (2023) by Luana Vitra, Esconjuro by Paulo Nazareth, O Barco (2021) by Grada Kilomba, and the group exhibition Ensaios sobre paisagem.
If you are looking for a creative and engaging activity for the whole family, do not miss the workshops of Ateliê Circulante (Traveling Workshop). This month, you will be able to: reimagine fears and monsters; experience space and landscape in a unique way; invent new uses for words, and explore new ways of relating to nature through a variety of artistic techniques, all this with the support of our Education team.
To learn more about the park’s history and collection, join the Panoramic Tour, departing daily from Reception. In celebration of the 86th anniversary of the city of Brumadinho, the Themed Visit Desvendando Brumadinho (Uncovering Brumadinho) will explore spaces of Inhotim that dialogue with the memory of the city, using the sgraffito technique which reveals previously hidden colors, textures and stories.
