This February, Inhotim has prepared a special program for the Carnival holiday. Visitors are welcome to explore the 140 hectares of open area, with galleries and works on view surrounded by the Institute’s lush Botanical Garden. During the holidays, Inhotim will be open for visitation for 12 continuous days, from Feb 23 to Mar 06—Wednesdays through Fridays, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm; and on weekends and holidays from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.  

Our art and botanical collections are expecting you with new additions: “Desvio para o Vermelho I, II e II” [Red Shift I, II and II], by Cildo Meireles, was reopened in the gallery dedicated to the artist; the famous Beetles of “Troca-Troca” [Swapping, 2002], by Jarbas Lopes, now occupy a new place in the park; not to mention the exhibitions inaugurated in December—“Deslocamentos” [Displacements], at Fonte Gallery, and Black Art Museum, act one of the exhibition entitled “Abdias Nascimento and the Museum of Black Art,” at Mata Gallery.  

The museum’s program also includes free mediated visits promoted by Inhotim’s Educational and Botanical Garden teams. Stay tuned:
