Inaugurated in 2012 with a design signed by Rizoma Arquitetura, it is one of the biggest galleries at Instituto Inhotim, holding a vast panorama of the production of Tunga. The building, similar to a glass box placed inside the forest, proposes a spatial setting that avoids the white cube experience: pre-established routes, imposed narratives, artificial lighting, and full separation of the artworks from the context.

The irregular topography of the terrain reflects itself inside the construction, in spaces of different levels and ceiling clearance, thus adapting itself to the technical needs of each work. From the outside, the empty space surrounding the gallery becomes an observation point from where one can watch over the environing nature.
