Performance | Grada Kilomba, O Barco – Ato II
As a “living object,” as Grada Kilomba describes it, O Barco (2021) consists of a poem, a large-scale installation, and a performance. This program, which began in 2024 and will conclude in 2026, is now experiencing a moment of activation, with the return of the artist to Inhotim for the execution of a new set of presentations of the performance.
This time, the performance will be carried out by a group composed mainly of artists from the region—the formation of a local ensemble strengthens the connection of the work with the territory and has been a fundamental part of the program since its conception.
