Inhotim counts on an expert technical staff to make sure that the works are fully exhibited respecting the artist’s volition, as well as the conservation norms established in accordance with international criteria. Displayed outdoors and in galleries, the works require constant follow-up by the team, always in collaboration with the artists and their studios, being mindful of their safekeeping, documentation, conservation, and restoring.

The Institute counts on a physical structure composed of four technical storage areas, production and restoration workshop. There is a protocol regarding preventative conservation measures and, frequently, inspection and diagnoses visits are held concerning the required procedures of maintenance and restoration of both the spaces and the works.
